Anti-wrinkle injections
If you have wrinkles, worry lines, laughter lines or crows’ feet and you would like to “do something about them” but don’t want to have surgery, anti-wrinkle injections are a great option for you. Anti-wrinkle injections are growing in popularity because of their non-invasive nature.
At Swords Dental, we use Botulinum toxin for our anti-wrinkle injections. Botox is suitable for most people, but should be avoided to people who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
The process:
The process is relatively painless. The treatment takes about 15 minutes and a local anaesthetic is applied to the injection sites on your face. Because of the low levels of Botox, anti-wrinkle injections are very safe. The treatment can last up to 4 months and there is no downtime after the injections.

Lip Fillers
Some people are simply not happy with their lips as they feel they are too thin. If you would like fuller lips, to help you feel more confident and attractive, then lip fillers are the ideal solution. Lip fillers work by adding volume to lips that have become wrinkled or thin. They help to restore a smooth appearance to the skin and volume to the lips.
The process:
20 minutes before treatment takes place, a prescription anaesthetic cream is applied to the injection sites. There is no recovery time and most people don’t experience any side effects. While the treatment typically lasts about 30 minutes, the results are immediate. Depending on the person, the effects can last between nine and twelve months.
