This new website at Swords Dental gives us an opportunity to explain the ethos of our practice.
Swords Dental is the longest-established dental practice based in Swords, Co Dublin. We are a family practice, situated on the Main Street. My father Dr. PJ Lynam first opened the practice in in 1969 – the only dentist in the village at that time. Over five decades, we have treated generations of the same families and are the original family dentist in Swords. This heritage and the legacy of patient care that PJ left informs the way we run the practice and the direction we aim to travel in the future.
Swords Dental offers a full range of general dentistry and hygienist services. We have eight dentists, two dental hygienists and a team of nine dental nurses and support staff. In addition, we can now offer modern, specialised services such as Dental Sedation, Oral Surgery procedures such as Implants, Periodontist treatment for gum disease, Facial Aesthetics including Botox and fillers. We provide a full range of Cosmetic Dentistry procedures such as Composite Bonding, Crown and Bridgework and Teeth Whitening. Finally we offer Invisalign™ Orthodontics.
These modern treatments open up a huge range of options. However, our main focus is on the health of our patients. The modern treatment options serve as an addition to this core aim and are not something we aim to “sell” to our patients. Swords Dental provide state of the art treatment in a relaxed environment, where we treat our patients as individuals, not customers. We like to treat children to help relax them in the dental environment. And we are particularly keen to help patients with anxiety about dentistry and hope that our ethos can help them to overcome these fears.
We hope that these principles will help to continue the success of the practice in the years to come.
